Welcome to The Wayside! A stunning, on the water townhome that boasts its own boat slip, garage, and upscale finishes.  The view from the elevated living area overlooking the water is unforgettable and is the perfect place to enjoy sunsets while boats are sailing by.  It is located within walking distance to the beautiful white sand beaches of the Emerald Coast, many restaurants, and a short boat ride away from the world famous Crab Island.  If you have additional co-workers traveling TDY with you, this is the place to stay!

The interior style and design is absolutely modern but exudes functionality, comfort, and most importantly privacy.  The large open living area is accompanied with new well-appointed furniture and a large flat screen T.V.  The fully equipped luxurious kitchen is an oasis for the aspiring Chef and includes a Wolf Induction stove top and Wolf oven, granite counter tops, and top of the line stainless steel appliances.  Storage is plentiful and you will find every kitchen tool needed to cook a delicious meal. 

Through a hallway around from the kitchen you will find the master bedroom and bath, the first of 3 bedrooms in the residence.  The large master bedroom boast a queen size pillowtop mattress, new high count linen sheets, hand-picked furniture, and a large flat screen T.V. The closets contain built in shelving and boast large ample storage.  Accompanying the master bedroom is the large opulent master bathroom.  Top-of-the-line fixtures, including granite counter top vanities, will have you thinking you are in a 5 star resort.

Downstairs, you will find two additional bedrooms and two full bathrooms.  Both bedrooms continue the trend of unique sought after furniture and luxurious fixtures.  Additionally, you will find new queen top pillowtop mattresses with high count fine linen sheets to ensure a restful night’s sleep.  For privacy, each bedroom can be locked from the inside or outside by the guest.

Leading to the backyard from the downstairs hallway, you will find the patio with storage access to the water toys (kayak, paddle board, and fishing gear).  The patio opens up to a grass backyard that is perfect for tossing a football or soccer ball around.  It also leads to the 20 unit boat slip, filled with sailboats and luxury cruiser yachts.  Offset to the left of the patio and backyard you will find the full size resident only oasis pool.  The pool area features a small cabana and additional grills for cooking the perfect meal overlooking the intercoastal waterway. Lastly, residents have access to a private dog park.  No detail has been overlooked.

You’ve often heard in the real estate community it’s all about Location, Location, Location and The Wayside meets the mark.  Located on the intercoastal waterway on Okaloosa Island, The Wayside is only a short “football field” distance away from the white sandy beaches of the Emerald Coast.  And, because it is located at the east end of Okaloosa Island, near Brooks Bridge in Fort Walton Beach, the location avoids the tourists, traffic, and chaos found throughout Destin and the many locations along the beach.  One block away from the residence offers several unique dining options.  A further walk over Brooks Bridge, lands you in the old downtown of Fort Walton Beach with extensive fine restaurants and bars to enjoy.  Or take a stroll through the “Landing Park” you will be surrounded by picturesque Spanish moss, mature oaks, and towering magnolias begging to be explored. 

The Wayside allows impeccable access to the main gates of Eglin Air Force Base and Hurlburt Field, both located only 6 miles away.  Additionally, Duke Field is a consistent 15 minute commute along routes that avoid the tourist hot spot areas. For our clients that are in the healthcare field, Fort Walton Beach Hospital medical is a 5 mile commute and Twin Cities hospital located in Niceville is a 13 mile commute.
